Essential Reading Elements - Picture Books in Technology and Parental Involvement

Objectives - To make children aware of different books that are all by the same author so that when they begin searching for books they like on their own they will have a direction to go in.

Procedure - Using a Scrapblog I will introduce the students to an author and some of his/her books. We will expand by finding as many books by this author as possible.

Implementation -  The children loved this activity. They loved learning of a new author and the books by this author.  The thing that I need to do is to use the scrapblog more so that I don't forget how when it is time to make the next author study. The children are really engaged in this activity and it is one that I would love to be up on technology with so that I could implement it more fully.
