Lessons for Primary students
1. Target Words (Joyce Hommes-Belena)
Objective - Students will read a list of words and identify chosen words. Students will follow up lesson by accessing web site http:pbskids.org/lions/games/pounce.html and clicking on target words.
Summary - This lesson is intended for a first grade class which is reviewing target story words. Teacher will read a story and chart target vocabulary words. Students will take turns calling on each other to find and spell words targeted by teacher. As a follow up to the lesson, students will be scheduled to use computer. Students will access above website and use interactive site to reinforce basic target word vocabulary.

2. Growth of a Plant (Joyce Hommes-Belena)
Objective - Students will read a story about growing plants and chart the parts of a plant and their functions. Students will follow up lesson with an interactive activity found at Harcourt Science website (http:www.urbanext. uiuc.edu/gpe/case1/
facts.html).
Summary - Teacher will read Apples, How They Grow by Bruce McMillan. Students will be assigned text pictures about plants to study with a partner, then read with teacher. Students will summarize/chart the parts of the tree and tell what important job each part performs. Students will then partner and follow up on the computer at the above website to solve to trace the growth of a plant. Student pairs will choose one activity to complete.

Lessons for Intermediate students
1. Digital Library (Scott Mazur)
Objective - Students wil listen to digital recordings of the books they are reading.
Summary - Using a Simply Audiobooks, Learn Out Loud, or any other site that has MP3 down loads of books, download stories in your library on to MP2 players. Create bags that have the MP3 player and the book in them. Students can then listen to the bok as they read along.
Implementation - I have found that all my students love this. It's just an advanced form of books on tape but they love to use the digital recorders at the end of their listening to make a review that can be added to the MP3 player.
